What to Expect after your First Adjustment
Having an adjustment is putting your bones back into the proper alignment.
Just as you hurt after an injury, when the bones come out of alignment, you may end up feeling a little sore after your first adjustment to put everything back in place.
As a chiropractor in Billings, I liken it to shooting an arrow. In order to have the arrow go forward, you have to pull it back first. Here, check out this short video on what I mean:
When you come in for an adjustment, whether that’s your back, knees, hips, or any bones that are bonked out of place, you might be sore afterward.
But we have to go backward (create that soreness) in order to keep moving forward (live a life of mobility and without pain). Don’t worry, it’s temporary and things will feel a whole lot better once your joints are aligned and stay aligned.

You know your body, and you know when something just doesn’t feel “right.” If you’re stiff, aching, or overall have joint pain, then we should visit and see what’s going on with your alignment.
You can schedule online, or give the office a call at 406-545-2128.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your path to mobility.
How to Keep those Bones in Alignment
My goal is to make sure you have a fully functioning body. So after your adjustment we will talk a little bit about what you can do to encourage those bones to stay where they’re supposed to be. Old injuries might take a little coaxing, but with the right care at home, and here at the office during your adjustments, we can make sure that you keep moving forward to a life of mobility.
