Have a Daily Stretching Routine

To combat this, a few minutes of stretching each day is essential. This doesn’t have to be a long and drawn-out yoga or Pilates session – although many people would benefit from those as well. This can be as simple as 10 minutes in the living room as you wait for your morning coffee to brew, and a few minutes before you eat your lunch in the middle of the day.
Heed Your Mom’s Advice: Sit Up Straight

Of course, heat and cold have different goals. Heat helps to promote blood flow, allowing injuries to heal faster. Cold reduces swelling and promote healing. Used at the right times, healing can occur much faster – reduce the swelling, then promote the blood flow. Too much swelling produces rigid tissues that are susceptible to injury.
Think Meditation over Medication
Western medical advice says to throw a pill at it. If that doesn’t work, then use some surgery. Eastern medicine taps into the body as a whole – our minds and bodies are connected much more intricately than many people believe.
There are times when you can meditate or visualize healing within your own body. Does it always work? Of course not – you won’t be able to repair that broken leg just by thinking about having a leg that isn’t broken. However, there are many aches and pains that are more psychological than physical.
Don’t neglect treatment, but between treatments focus inward and allow your body to heal.
